SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Available to any high school graduate, who is a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, Ardmore, Okla., attending any college, university, or vo-tech school. Secondary consideration is given members of other Southern Baptist churches affiliated with the Enon Baptist Association in Southern Oklahoma.
Available to any member of First Missionary Baptist Church, Ardmore, Okla., attending a college, university, or seminary affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.
Available to any member of First Missionary Baptist Church, Ardmore, Okla., attending any college, university, or seminary affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention to prepare for a church related vocation. Secondary consideration is given other current or former residents of Oklahoma, followed by other qualified applicants.
General Information
1. Scholarship funds are paid directly to the college, university, seminary, or vo-tech school for tuition, books, fees, room, and/or board. Students living off-campus may apply scholarship funds toward the cost of off-campus room and board, not to exceed the on-campus rate of the institution where the student is enrolled. Students commuting to classes from their permanent place of residence may not apply scholarship funds toward living or travel expenses. Unused funds must be returned to the Scholarship Committee, First Missionary Baptist Church, Ardmore, Okla.
2. Scholarship applications and renewals are due by the following dates: July 1 for the fall semester, December 1 for the spring semester, and April 15 for the summer session. 3. To qualify for a full scholarship, undergraduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours in a regular semester or 6 credit hours in a summer term. The requirement for graduate students is 9 credit hours in a regular semester or 4 in a summer term. Scholarship amounts are prorated for students enrolled in fewer credit hours.
4. The number and amount of scholarships, which may be awarded, is determined by the number of applicants and availability of funds. The total dollar amount awarded by the Scholarship Committee for any given school term will be limited to the total published cost of attending the institution, less the total of all other scholarships to be received by the student for that term.
How To Submit An Initial Application
Complete an original copy of the current Scholarship Application form and send to the Scholarship Committee by the deadline (See General Information). Attach a short autobiography and a list of other scholarship amounts you will receive. Include a copy of your class schedule and an official statement of the cost of tuition, fees, books, and room and/or board for the semester or session. Lillie Coffey Sullivan applicants must also include a letter of recommendation.
Applications must be submitted for each semester or session. Send renewal application to the Scholarship Committee by the deadline (see General Information) of each semester you are still enrolled in school. Attach a list of other scholarship amounts you will receive. Include a copy of your class schedule and an official statement of the cost of tuition, fees, books, room and/or board for the semester or session. Provide a final grade report for the semester just completed If any of these items can not be submitted with the application, attach a statement indicating when the item will be available and submitted.
Notice
Funds for these scholarships are derived from investment earnings and the proceeds from oil and gas production. Therefore, receipt of a scholarship for any semester is no guarantee of receipt for any other semester. Also, the amount of the scholarship may vary from semester to semester.
