Traditional Policies for
Weddings, Receptions, Anniversaries, Showers
and other Special Events
Arrangements for using church facilities for weddings, showers, anniversaries, etc. will be made through the church business administration office. No Sunday or Wednesday weddings will be scheduled unless approved by the pastor. Saturday evening weddings will start no later than 6 p.m. to give time for cleanup for Sunday.
As a general rule, weddings will be limited to church members only.
$25 deposit is required to place wedding date on the church calendar.
No smoking or intoxicants are permitted in church buildings or on church grounds at any time.
No food or drinks are permitted in the sanctuary or chapel while decorating, during rehearsal, or during the wedding event.
All buildings must be vacated by 10 p.m. on Saturday, 11 p.m. other nights.
The church will not be responsible for articles lost or left behind following these events.
Use of church items from the Decorations closet should be arranged through the Music office or a representative of the Decorations Committee.
Use of wedding/reception items should be arranged through church business administration office.
Wedding and baby showers for members are considered a ministry of the church. The church members giving the party are responsible for cleaning and resetting the room up for church use.
Wedding, reception, anniversary or birthday events require a custodial fee. These fees are based on the services provided.
Those using the church's dishes are responsible for their cleanup, wrapping and return to storage containers.
No profit making enterprises shall use church facilities.
